How do I book a diving course?
All our diving courses are mentioned on this page. We run most of our (open water) courses during the wetsuit season which is June to November when sea temperatures are 20°C and above. Although we keep diving throughout the year and have dry suits courses and tech courses during winter time, we don't do open water courses outside of wetsuit season.
If you're in a rush, we can do a referral course which means finishing theory and pool training saving you some time. You can use this open water referral with any other PADI instructor or shop. Our recommendation is a LCC flight for a few thousand yen to tropical Okinawa and finish the course with Piranha Divers Okinawa, one of the better English PADI shops in Okinawa.
To book a diving course, simply use our contact form and we will send you more information. After paying a deposit though PayPal or bank transfer, you should be all scheduled for the course.

What gear do I need for a diving course e.g. open water course?
For our open water course, all gear is provided. Although we recommend to get your own wetsuit and mask because it will be a lot more comfortable and better fitting than most rental gear.
For other courses, we expect students to own their own gear. Although rental at a price is still possible.

How do I prepare for a course?
Do you provide pickup from our hotel or provide transportation?
Unfortunately this is not a service we currently provide. Public transportation around Tokyo, trains and metro are fast and reliable and often are the best way to reach our diving sites.

How do I get to the diving site?
We usually provide pickup from the closest station at the Izu Peninsula. For the divesites that do not have a station, we often carpool from Tokyo. Here is an overview of all divesites and their logistics. The following websites can help you with train planning:
- Hyperdia
- Google maps (Google nowadays has most train schedules as well)

What are the temperatures like, diving around Tokyo?
Wetsuit season is June to November when sea temperatures are 20°C and above. During winter, water temperatures drop to around 15°C and we dive mainly in dry suits. Unlike wetsuits, there is a really small selection of dry suits so rental is limited. Most people own their own dry suit.
We recommend people to be dry suit certified or to have a minimum of 20 dives experience in a dry suit. We run a few dry suits courses every winter for people looking to get certified.
It is also during winter that we do most of our technical diving courses and training.
